Wednesday morning Ella had surgery to remove her tonsils and adenoids. Ella has had reoccurring throat infections as well as Strep numerous times so we couldn't put the surgery off any longer. Ella's surgery lasted about 20 minutes, it was very quick. While we were waiting to speak with the doctor we could hear her screaming in the recovery room and it was pretty much downhill from there. The doctor said her tonsils were a size 3 and almost touching each other and they were infected. We could only go back one at a time to see her so I went back first and was sad to see her crying so much, poor thing even got sick a few times from the anesthesia, not fun. Once we were moved up to her room she settled down and seemed to be doing better. We stayed the night at the hospital to make sure she stayed hydrated. Thursday morning we went home and she has been doing well, it is a little tough getting her to drink and take her medication but she is doing pretty well considering the pain she is in. We hope this surgery will keep Ella out of the doctor's office and healthy! We are so proud of Ella for how strong she has been through this all of this, she is such a trooper no matter what the circumstances are! We love you Ella Rose!
