Family Getaway

Brandon had his usual week off the first week of July so we decided to pack up the day after the 4th of July and head to Branson for a few days! We are so lucky that Brandon's family has a really nice condo on Table Rock Lake that we can stay at! Jackson has been begging us to take him to Branson all summer long so he can ride go carts, bumper boats and play mini golf. On our way to Branson we decided to take a little detour and drive through Joplin to show the kids the devastation from the tornado that hit on May 22nd. My heart ached as we drove through what was left of the town, total devastation. Jackson couldn't believe how the trees looked as well as seeing pieces of metal wrapped around trees. I am glad we took the time to drive to Joplin, so very sad.
Once we arrived in Branson Tuesday evening we got settled into the condo and headed out to play some mini golf at one of Jackson's places, the pirate one! Ella actually played with Daddy and Jackson this time, she looked more like a hockey player, pretty entertaining! We spent our time in Branson shopping, swimming, golfing, go carting, riding rides, driving bumper boats, fishing and building a custom Finn McMissile car at a really cool store! Our time in Branson was perfect, the four of us had a great time!
